Battery Electric bikes we believe is an integral part of the bicycle industry,proven by the uptake of many International brands adding a range of Electric bikes to their bicycle range.

It is well recognised that China has witnessed huge growth domestically in the useage and manufacture of these bikes. Europe, UK and the US are experiencing growth in their markets.

Technology has also advanced from early very heavy and crude lead acid  battery powered  bikes that didn't seem to know what they were, some resembling motor scooters with appendage like pedals and others more like bicycles but adapted with large heavy rim motors and stretched to locate batteries. Some of these still exist and being manufactured with improved battery systems and motors.

We have always felt that there was potential in electric powered bicycles and built our first experimental bikes in Wales UK, modifying existing bicycles with rim motors, with pedelec/throttle combinations and lead acid batteries. Ni-Cad batteries were available but cost at the time was prohibitive.The well know characteristics of lead acid discharge/recharge requirements let alone the weight of the batteries kept us searching for alternatives.

We always firmly have believed the ideal battery electric  bike should look like a traditional bicycle, light weight, with options of styles, with urban, and road versions ,with a heavy duty option of an MTB  style.

Urban bikes should be fitted with light weight guards, racks and lighting for commuter/recreational use. Folding small wheeled versions also similarly equiped.

We now have the technology to meet most of our original concepts .Light weight  2.5kg small brushless hub motors, with freewheeling features  and the latest controller systems. Batteries  lithium-ion types or lithium-poly eliminating weight,and being able to discharge fully without  gradual power loss.Recharging at anytime and shorter time.And important to us being lightweight and much smaller with options of mounting on the bike.

We are not going to manufacture bicycles, that is already being done, but what we are doing is choosing brands that will be quality light weight stylish  that will be traditional bikes with the added value of being fitted with our Velectrix system.

We will also be able to do custom fitting to existing bikes.

Velectrix setups will perform with in the following parameters;

• Speed  from 40 kph   with or without pedaling dependant on bike model
• Distance up to 70 kilometers with a  6AH lithium-poly battery
• Allow easy pedaling without power on .
• Power on - near silent operation
