COLUMBUS XCR stainless steel tubing set gets the special Award in the products category of the IF Design Material Award in Germany.

The International Forum Design represents an independent institution, related to design and industry. The IF product design is one of the world’s most well-known design competition. It represents an annual distinction for products which succeed especially well in combining functionality and esthetics as well as in satisfying the requirements for innovation.

The jury of the IF Material Award 2009 choose the XCR tubing set because of the exceptional mechanical characteristics.

Seamless stainless steel tubes, obtained from a billet, presents extremely thin wall thickness up to 0,4mm in the central part of the tubes thanks to the great attitude to cold deformation. Those special tubes are available in different diameters as 38mm, 31,7mm, 24mm and 16mm with a wide range of shapes.
