In the 1940's SA produced the famous ASC fixed wheel hub, this was quickly taken up by the British Time Trial road cyclists which ruled the the roads early on weekend mornings. A few saw their way here in NZ but by the 1960's were almost forgotten.

Sturmey Archer have done it again in the new wave of internal geared hubs appearing. The S3X three speed fixie rear hub with lightweight anodised shell has been produced accompanied with almost a 'groupset'. There is a high quality large flanged alloy track front hub, also the track crankset in two models of 130PCD and the more traditional 144PCD. A range of  anodised colours are available for all components.

Controls are a bar end shifter and a clever 'thumbie' which can either clamp on the handlebar or adapt to fit a braze on downtube boss!
